Quotable: If sex is funny, then lots of sex must be hilarious.

I’m not sure what I expected when I clicked on the link for ‘Least I Could Do,’ but I’m pretty sure this wasn’t it. LICD is basically about a promiscuous man by the name of Rayne, and his misadventures with his friends. There are happy moments and sweet moments, but more often than not, hilarious moments. LICD’s humor is off the wall, you’re never quite sure where the joke is coming from, and even after many years, its fresh and surprising. With a fair amount of one-time and running gags, it is one of the funniest strips I’ve seen in quite some time.

I can’t discuss LCID without mentioning the artwork, which is very nice, it makes me think of Sunday comics in the newspaper, with the exception that they’re expertly colored and actually funny. LCID is the first comic where I’ve seen different people take up the artistic brush throughout the stirp’s evolution, which adds to the varying style the strip has as one reads through the archives.

Trevor Adams - He has a unique style, one that I like, but ultimately, when looking at the future artists, doesn’t quite capture the feel of LICD.

Chad WM. Porter - The second artist and my favorite. Not sure why, I just love the facial expressions. And the pinups he occasionally draws aren’t bad neither.

Lar DeSouza - The most recent artist. I originally did not like his style, primarily because it wasn’t Chad’s. But after reading a few strips and getting used to it, I’m not sure I could imagine the LCID cast being drawn by anyone else.

So do yourself a favor and give the archives a read. You’ll find at least a few strips that make you laugh.

Title: Order Of The Stick
Genre: Roleplaying/Humor
Author: Richard Burlew
Artwork: 7/10
Humor: 9/10
Story: 6/10

Quotable: Who knew stick figures led such active lives?

Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition. It is obvious this is the game this comic spoofs. And it does it brilliantly. For an adamant player of the game, this is pure gold. A non D&D player will miss a lot of the jokes, but it still may be worth a read. The first thing will strike you is the artwork. Its done entirely in stick figures. This does not mean the art is bad, oh no, quite the contrary. He manages to make unique and expressive characters, the stylized art only adding to the charm. Its updated often, and each comic is a full page, its doubtlessly worth keeping on your favorites list if you’re a fan of D&D.

Quotable: What is there to say? Its Penny Arcade, its funny.

While comics on gaming are more common than porn on the internet, Gabe and Tycho were one of the very first, and even now, manage to stand out above the rest. They pioneered a comic of vulgarity, hilarity, and games. In an internet full of gaming comics, they truly have a style that’s all their own. This comic is something everyone can enjoy. Even the most casual of gamers can get most of the humor. As long as you HAVE a sense of humor, you’re sure to enjoy this webcomic, and it’s sure to be something you check on regularly.
