Sounds ilke fun! If you have a large family and don't want to disappoint anyone, that sounds like an excellent idea. Then you can have smaller gatherings later with anyone who wishes to have a congradulations celebration. We had a big wedding, and, honestly, much fun as it was, I really didn't get to spend much time with anyone there beyond saying "thank you" for various well-wishings. What kind of ceremony you'll be happy with seems to depend on who your doing the ceremony for - is it for you or for everyone else? If it's for you, by all means, an elopement is excellent.
