And yeah, throwing it in reverse and calling 911 would be the smart thing to do.  Which is why had I been in the situation, my good sense and self-preservation instinct would override my anger at the situation.</description>

Really, you were probably incredibly fortunate to have not arrived when they were still there... Options one and two are far too common for anybody short of a Marine, and even then you'd still have to worry about a gun.

I'll give you the easy answer:  nothing in their cars is worth risking your life over -- the correct action would have been to put it in reverse, get the hell out of there, and call 911 on your cellphone.

Those little coincidences do make you think, though.</description>
